With "Shaping Urban Futures" the EFA connects visionary stakeholders to foster physical and social innovation for sustainable construction and livable cities. With strong partners from the construction sector and the built environment at large, we create a space for innovation and inspiration over a three-year programme cycle. Programme

  1. Welcoming remarks by EFA President Othmar Karas and introduction to the programme
  2. Presentation of the "Shaping Urban Futures" Initiative and Highlights from our EFA24 partners: Erste Stiftung (Raphael Lehmann), IKEA, Magistrat der Stadt Linz / Arbeiterkammer OÖ (Thomas Gegenhuber), 10x100 Lab (Mathis Dippon), Soravia/ADOMO Real Estate, Stadt Wien (Stephan Auer-Stüger) und Strabag (Anette Scheckmann).
  3. Panel Discussion with Q&A (60 minutes): "Urban Spaces as Incubators for Symbiotic Disruption" featuring Kirsten Dunlop (CEO, EIT Climate-KIC; Chair of the EFA Climate Track Committee), Soravia, Annette Scheckmann (Member of the Management Board of STRABAG AG) and Stephan Auer-Stüger (Vice-Chair of the Climate and Environment Committee of the City of Vienna).

    The session will be moderated by Anna-Vera Deinhammer (Endowed Professorship for Sustainable Real Estate Development, FHWien der WKW).
