Amber Charlesworth is the Head of Space Policy at Amazon’s Project Kuiper, an initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites that will provide low-latency, high-quality broadband connectivity worldwide. She previously served as the Director for International Space Policy at the White House’s National Space Council where she led efforts to generate national space policies and strategies to meet America’s civil, commercial, and national security space objectives. Prior to joining the White House, Amber was the Lead Foreign Affairs Officer at the U.S. Department of State’s Office of Space and Advanced Technology, where she was responsible for bilateral and multilateral cooperation in civil and commercial space activities. Prior to working at the U.S. Department of State, Amber served as an air traffic controller in the United States Air Force.
