The former Vice Chancellor and Foreign Minister of the Federal Republic of Germany (1998–2005) led the Green Party in its first participation in government, on both the state (Hesse) and federal level. From 2006 to 2007, Fischer held a professorship at Princeton School of Public and International Affairs (USA). He is a founding partner of Joschka Fischer & Company.
