Univ.-Prof. Dr. Kocher has had an international academic career with positions at universities in Munich, Amsterdam, Norwich and Gothenburg. From 2016 to 2021, Kocher was Scientific Director of the Institute for Advanced Studies (IHS) in Vienna, Head of the IHS Competence Centre for Behavioural Economics “Insight Austria” and President of the Austrian Fiscal Council (FISK). Kocher has been a Member of the Austrian Federal Government since January 11, 2021.
